Exercise Machines to Reduce Tummy Fat

!±8± Exercise Machines to Reduce Tummy Fat

Exercise machines have been all the rage for the past 30 odd years. One smart cookie developed a machine and thought, "this makes fitness easy, people will lap this up. People like to do fitness but they like things to be easy. I am a genius!"

Real exercise is intense, hard, sweaty, leaves you huffing and puffing and gasping for wind. But when you see these machines endorsed by a guy with ripped abs, big muscles, oiled up with a nice tan and looking like he is going hard on the machine, it is very convincing that he got his muscles doing that workout on that machine.

Little do you know, that is the first time he used that machine and the last. He was paid mega bucks to star in that commercial, he knows it is a piece of crap that doesn't work but if he doesn't promote it, he lives on the street.

I hate to be a bearer of bad news, but there is no such thing as an exercise machine that makes "getting abs easy" or any of that crap. The only results come from lifting free weights in a gym, doing intense cardio, dieting and good clean nutrition.

The best exercise machine to lose tummy fat is a barbell loaded up with weights and put on a little more each time you go to use it. It is a difficult machine to operate at the start because it doesn't have a users manual. The exercises are hard because they actually challenge you to work.

A Review of the Top Exercise Bike Ratings

!±8± A Review of the Top Exercise Bike Ratings

Exercise bikes are still very popular pieces of equipment in the home fitness field. Although treadmills has taken over the number one sales spot, exercise bikes still get plenty of attention. No doubt, many people are drawn to them because of the familiarity of design. What can be simpler than the design of a bicycle? And riding a bicycle has very good health benefits as we all know.

But which exercise bike is best for you? Actually, the first question to ask is which exercise bike type best for you? You need to answer that question because there are two main types or styles of exercise bikes available for sale. One is the upright bike and the other is the recumbent bike. The upright style looks most like a normal bicycle with a seat and handlebars, and pedals underneath. The recumbent style of exercise bike can look completely different, with a seat that you actually lay in while you work the pedals out in front of you. Either type of exercise bike seems to perform well when it comes to giving you a good thorough cardio workout. So the choice is actually a matter of preference rather then effectiveness.

But which models seem to be rated the best overall? There have been several independent reviews made of exercise bikes over the years, and lots of consumer reviews are available online as well. By going through them, you can get a good feel for both the models that you want to buy, and those that you should stay away from. We have made a search of these available exercise bike reviews and ratings, and here are some recommendations that we can make based on our findings.

1. The Life Fitness C3-5 upright and the Life Fitness R3-5 recumbent bikes are extremely well reviewed and rated highly by almost everyone. In general, Life Fitness exercise bikes seem to get good ratings anyway. But these models enjoy particularly good ratings. They are both packed with features like 20 levels of resistance, an integrated heart rate monitor, and 10 pre-programmed workouts that you can choose from. Another great feature is that they are very solid and sturdy, supporting up to 400 lbs., meaning that even some of the largest consumers will be able to safely use them. And Life Fitness also stands behind their products with a very solid warranty.Expect to pay about 00 for each.

2. Another manufacturer that gets very high marks in many exercise bike reviews is Schwinn. Of course, Schwinn has been in the bike business for years now, and is no stranger to the exercise bike field. Perhaps one of the best features about Schwinn exercise bikes is how much you get for the money. They don't tend to come loaded up with all the bells and whistles, so if you want all of that you probably need to look elsewhere. But what they do give you is a solid machine for a very good price. For instance the Schwinn 113 upright and Schwinn 213 recumbent models only cost around 0, but they still have a 300 lbs. weight capacity, 16 resistance levels, and 10 programs to choose from, making it a great value in the exercise bike genre. Expect to pay about 0 for these models.

There are other exercise bike manufacturers and models that have received positive ratings and reviews. For instance,Tunturi exercise bikes have also been rated highly many times in the past by both product reviewers and consumers alike. But the two models we listed above seem to rise to the top of most exercise bike ratings and reviews on a consistent basis, and we feel that they would be a good choice for almost anyone.

Where to Buy an Exercise Bike

!±8± Where to Buy an Exercise Bike

Once you have made a decision to purchase an exercise bike, you need to decide where to find the exercise bike that best fits your needs and your budget. Online stores have been popular for the past decade, and many of the bigger websites will allow you to buy everything from books to exercise equipment at one easy, convenient location. Some online stores even offer better prices, though stores are becoming increasingly comparable to standard brick-and-mortar locations. When it comes to something like an exercise bike, it is best to shop for one where you have the opportunity to test the ones you like and decide if they are comfortable enough, if you fit them properly, and if they have the features that you both want and can easily understand.

When it comes to where to buy an exercise bike, the first place you should look is a sporting goods store. Big Box stores, such as Wal-Mart or Target, will have exercise bikes and other exercise equipment for sale, but a store that caters to sports and home gyms might have a better selection and will definitely have more knowledgeable salespeople if you need any additional help or information.

If you have used a certain type of bike extensively, either through a gym, a recreation center, or a friend's house, and you know with certainty that you wish to purchase that bike, an online store might be your best bet. If you do not need to test the bike or receive help from any staff, an online store can offer the best prices and allow you the chance to shop around for the best price tag.

Arthritis Pain Relief - 3 Best Exercise Tips For Joints and Joint Pain - Nurse's Guide

!±8± Arthritis Pain Relief - 3 Best Exercise Tips For Joints and Joint Pain - Nurse's Guide

If you have arthritis or osteoarthritis you know how your joints can hurt. Aches and pains galore. You may often wonder whether you should be moving them or not. However research has shown that moving the joints is best. Staying active is the key. You want to move those joints as much as possible. Move around throughout the day and don't sit for endless hours.

By moving your body you increase the blood flow which helps to lubricate the joints which helps in reducing or relieving pain. Yes many people with arthritis are trying to figure out ways to lubricate the joints. And the easiest way is to get the blood moving. It will also help your brain and may help prevent dementia.

When you get up in the morning you may be stiff. But as soon as you move around you get the blood flowing and lubricating the joints. Of course moving will also help with weight loss and help if you have weight problems also. And the blood moving to your brain will help you think better and then think even more about moving!

1. You want to think about low impact first of all. You don't want to jar the joints yet you want to get them moving. For the best cardio you want to keep one foot on the ground at all times. The best exercise would be walking.

If your arthritis pain is severe you can try swimming or water aerobics. Water helps eliminate impact and helps soothe joints. Try to find salt water pools instead of chemical-laden chlorine pools. Many clubs are going to salt water pools these days. Riding a bike is another good low impact exercise activity. You can actually burn 500 calories an hour while cycling. If you aren't physically capable of riding a bike then try a recumbent bike. Especially if you have back pain or back problems or injuries. Recumbent bikes are fun and some can be close to the floor if that's a requirement.

2. Keeping steady. You want to avoid activity that has a lot of pivots, turns stops and starts. Tennis can be jarring but is an excellent lifetime activity if you just take it slow and easy. Many arthritics play tennis and just play a slower game. If you've never learned it's never too late. There are even tennis tournaments for people in their nineties.

If you're so inclined, cross country skiing or snowshoeing burn as many calories as jogging and without the stress. For inside activities that will help the joints use an elliptical machine. It provides very little impact and is safe for your joints. Joints absorb shock so avoid any jarring in whatever sport or activity you participate in.

3. Strengthen you joints. You want to build up and tone the muscles that surround your affected joints. These could be muscles in the back, knees or hips for example. You can get significant arthritis pain relief and pain reduction by improving your posture and your overall joint mobility.

If you follow some of the tips in this article and get your body moving as much as possible, you'll start to notice less stiffness and joint pain and enjoy significant arthritis pain relief. There are many other exercises you can do to help lubricate the joints. Keep moving is the most important advice for anyone with joint pain or arthritis. Remember that moving the body is the best joint lubricant.

Eclipse Elliptical Exercise Machines - What To Know About Eclipse Ellipticals

!±8± Eclipse Elliptical Exercise Machines - What To Know About Eclipse Ellipticals

Looking for Eclipse elliptical exercise machines? Eclipse ellipticals used to be quite popular several years back, especially models like the Eclipse 1100 HR. Most models were priced under 0 which made them very popular with buyers on a budget.

You used to be able to find them in discount stores like Kmart for example.

The Eclipse brand itself was manufactured by Fitness Quest - the same company behind the Ab Lounge, Total Gym and the Tony Little Gazelle.

That didn't necessarily give Fitness Quest the best reputation for being in the exercise equipment industry. Surprisingly however, their Eclipse elliptical exercise machines seemed to be very popular with buyers for a while.

However since then, the brand seems to have stagnated and probably will disappear altogether in a few years. In fact, Fitness Quest isn't even selling these ellipticals from their website and you can't find them in stores anymore.

The machines themselves are a mixed bag. They have a lot of the 'basics' like heart rate monitor, a few built-in workouts, easy to read consoles, forward and reverse motions and moving arm bars.

However there were a few reports with users of the flywheels coming loose and the Eclipse 1175E was recalled for safety several years ago. Plus you get pretty short stride lengths with these machines - around 15" - (stride is the furthest distance between the pedals), which doesn't give you the most optimal workout. It can feel pretty short for people taller than five feet two.

While for the most part, they aren't in stores anymore, you can probably find a few older Eclipse elliptical exercise machines kicking around on Craigslist or your local classifieds.

However be aware that the warranty on these machines isn't great - and it probably won't cover you at all as a second buyer. So if the elliptical breaks as soon as you get it home, you may be out the money to fix it (or buy a whole new machine).

The good news is that there are several other brands that sell ellipticals for low prices as well - and you're getting more for your money every year with these brands. Examples of brands with lower priced decent ellipticals include Proform, Fuel and Schwinn. Again though, do your homework with these brands as some models offer better value than others.

Regardless of what you choose to do, take your time, do your research and know what you need in an elliptical trainer before you invest in an exercise machine.

The Best Recumbent Exercise Bike Reviews

!±8± The Best Recumbent Exercise Bike Reviews

Do you want up to date and relevant information of the best recumbent exercise bike? Well hopefully the following details will give you an idea of what to expect from this type of exercise bike.

Lots of different exercise products arrive in the marketplace and become popular because of a particular design or price point, but not many focus on the actual health benefits and on protecting areas that have been previously overlooked. Recumbent bikes are a great alternative to the traditional upright stationary bike, and they can be perfect solutions for anyone from your average consumer to professional athletes. Read on to learn a little more about these cool and innovative bikes.

What type of exercise equipment offers good health benefits?

The recumbent exercise bike not only gives you the usual fitness workout, but also has the added and huge bonus of back support. Unlike the older upright type that only offers the user a seat, the recumbent type has an ergonomic seat and back support and are both specifically designed to fit the human body and the movements that you're likely to encounter on a recumbent exercise bike. Having this type of comfort not only gives people better posture and full back support, but is creates a more enjoyable experience whilst you're working out and the equivalent of sitting on an office or computer chair whilst doing your exercises.

What are the best types of recumbent exercise bikes?

There are a few at the top end of the market who offer similar specifications like ergonomic seats, LCD monitors and anti slip pedals. The main companies who are noted for their quality with this particular type of product are Nautilus, Stamina, ProForm, Schwinn and Phoenix and who not only offer superior quality workmanship, but give you a superb warranty for extra peace of mind. This is always nice, especially when you are thinking about purchasing a product that could cost anywhere from 0 to 0 dollars.

Keeping fit and healthy should play a crucial role in all of our lives and if we have the added bonus of protecting our vulnerable back area, then it will reward us in later life. Our legs are there for the purpose of taking the strain of our upper body and protecting our back, so anything that promotes that fact can only be a good thing for our future health and general well being.
